  Spring 2005 Student Leader Luncheon

Dr. R. Dean Lewis, dean of the College of Business Administration at Sam Houston State University, recently hosted a luncheon honoring student leaders within the College. Following a buffet lunch, the twenty-four student officers in attendance listened attentively to Dr. Lewis’ summary of the plans and programs of the College and then participated in a lively question-and-answer session.

The dean initiated the student leader luncheon program in October 2002 and conducts one every semester to acknowledge the efforts of business student organizations, to foster communication between and among those groups and the administration, to allow students the opportunity to offer their input to the dean and discuss any issues of concern, and to provide an opportunity for student leaders to meet their counterparts within other COBA organizations.

COBA student organizations represented at the Spring 2005 luncheon were Alpha Kappa Psi, the Association of Information Technology Professionals, Beta Alpha Psi, COBA Ambassadors, the International Business Society, the Master of Business Administration Student Association, Omega Delta Epsilon, the National Association of Black Accountants, Phi Chi Theta and the Society of Human Resource Management.
